Alcohol Free

This refers to the absence of ethyl alcohol (ethanol), which is known to evaporate quickly and cause skin dryness. These products may contain other forms of alcohol like longer chain and fatty alcohols, which help stabilize formulas and are known for being hydrating and moisturizing.

Dermatologist Tested

You’ll see this phrase when we have conducted data-based, clinical testing on a product to be able to claim it is hypoallergenic.

Hypoallergenic

This suggests that the product is unlikely to cause an allergic reaction under normal use, which is based upon clinical testing that we conduct. This does not mean a product will not cause any allergic reaction or irritation in any person, given an individual’s own skin sensitivity to ingredients included. People with skin sensitivities or known allergies should consult their doctor in choosing products that are best suited for them. All of our product formulas are reviewed by a licensed toxicologist and safety physician to assess toxicity levels and the product’s impact on humans under normal, instructed product use. Under normal use, products with this claim are unlikely to cause adverse effects on human or environmental health.

Made with Natural Saline

Saline, or sodium chloride, is a natural mineral found both in the earth and in the body. It excels at breaking up and thinning mucus when used in the right concentration, known as isotonic (0.9%) saline. Because saline is natural and hypoallergenic, it can soothe even the most delicate skin without irritation.

Naturally-Derived

This means the majority of the ingredients in the product come from nature — plants, minerals, water or other natural sources. These materials may undergo some processing for safety or performance, but they retain no less than 50% of their natural structure. If synthetic ingredients are included in our products it is to prevent bacterial and mold growth; to soothe, condition and prevent skin dehydration; to balance pH levels for sensitive skin use; or to improve the overall experience.


No Animal Testing

All of our product formulas are cruelty-free — meaning they are never tested on animals at any stage of development or formulation.


No Harsh Chemicals

This means that a product does not contain synthetic chemicals that are known to be potentially harmful or irritating to humans or the environment. This phrase refers to the absence of specific synthetic chemicals like parabens, phthalates, sulfates and synthetic fragrances.

Pediatrician Recommended

This means our trusted medical partners (doctors or pediatricians) have thoroughly reviewed and recommended the product.

USDA Organic

A USDA Organic label on a product signifies that it has been produced according to specific, standardized agricultural practices set by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Vegan

Vegan products are those that do not contain any animal-derived ingredients or by-products. All Boogie product formulations are cruelty-free.
